Salem Media Group in Portland is offering part-time Promotions Street Team Positions designated to give hands-on experience to outgoing, responsible, enthusiastic and friendly individuals to represent us at various promotional events, online and behind the scenes.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Promotions Assistant reports to and works directly with the Promotions Director of the stations. Responsibilities include working at various station events, concerts, and live broadcasts. Job responsibilities include: Assisting with setup and tear down of station events and appearances, interacting with account executives, listeners and on-air personalities, handling social media accounts, maintaining promotional equipment, driving station vehicles, helping with the execution of station events and may include some front office reception duties.
The ideal candidate must project a positive and fun attitude, must be a professional and a team player, have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for marketing, promotions and/or radio. Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and commit to a flexible schedule that includes some evenings, weekend and holidays. It is helpful, but not required, if the candidate has photo/video experience and working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher.
Knowledge of the Spanish language, both written and verbal, is a must.
